Chill-out zone

THE TREND Finding the time to relax at home is essential – and these products will help, writes Lily Pearson

One big problem with working from home more often is that it becomes increasingly difficult to switch off. After all, if your home is an office and your office is at home, it can feel like you’re always at work, which – let’s face it – is far from ideal. Combat this by prioritising your relaxation routine and creating your own personal sanctuary. Whether that’s marking the end of a day with yoga practice, running a bath with your favourite essential oils burning or getting changed into something cosier, making a clear separation between work time and relaxation time is the first step to making unwinding that little bit easier.

Of course, if limited space makes this more difficult, subtle changes can still make a big difference – from changing the lighting and burning some candles, to participating in a self-care routine soundtracked by your favourite playlist.

If you’re struggling with darker days or sleep patterns, a SAD lamp could also help – as could incorporating a lavender product into your bedtime routine.

Make it a habit you keep up and 2022 might mark the year you got your Zen levels in check.
