MACHETE KILLER ARRESTED IN ‘TERRORIST INCIDENT’ IN SPAIN

A MAN wielding a machete attacked clergymen at two churches in southern Spain in a possible ‘terrorist incident’.

A sexton was killed and a priest was injured last night in the port city of Algeciras before the attacker was arrested.

A source at Madrid’s High Court said it was being investigated as terrorism, Reuters reported. Local media said the attacker was a 25-year-old Moroccan. The man killed was Diego Valencia, a sacristan at the Nuestra Señora de La Palma church, while the titular priest of the parish church of San Isidro, Antonio Rodriguez, is in serious condition.
