Boris and Carrie are planning next big party

THE Londoner hears Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie are planning a champagne-soaked soiree at Chequers to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.

Having been the first PM to tie the knot in office in just under 200 years the loved-up couple had to get married at short notice in Westminster Catherdral among just 30 guests, including Rachel and Joe Johnson, due to Covid restrictions. Afterwards, a No10 spokesman said they ‘will celebrate their wedding with family and friends next summer.’

Now the Johnsons have sent invitations to the party which will be in the next few weeks. Our source says: “There’s nothing like a party in Chequers to bring aggrieved backbenchers into the fold!”. Quite so!
