ITV to broadcast Premiership Final

RUGBY’S Premiership Final is to be shown live on free-to-air TV for the first time in its history, after ITV secured a new terrestrial broadcast deal, writes Malik Ouzia.

As well as the June showpiece at Twickenham, ITV will screen four further matches this season, starting with Sale’s clash with Leicester on January 30.

The deal, which runs until the end of the 2023-24 season, will also see the return of a weekly highlights programme to terrestrial TV, after Channel 5’s show was controversially axed.
