YOKO SELLS DIY BROKEN CUP TO RAISE FUNDS FOR GALLERY

News

YOKO ONO has released a smash hit with a difference to raise funds for an east London art gallery. The Japanese artist, and widow of John Lennon, is selling a limitededition work consisting of a broken ceramic cup and glue to stick it back together for £175, with all the money going to the Whitechapel Gallery. Ono has made 100 copies of the work, which comes with instructions telling the buyer to consider “mending the world” while repairing the broken pottery.
