SLAM DUNK JORDAN’S OLD KICKS GO FOR £1.1M

A PAIR of trainers worn by US basketball legend Michael Jordan have been auctioned for nearly

$1.5 million (£1.1million). The red and white Nike Air Ships set the record for the most expensive game-worn footwear to be auctioned at last night’s Sotheby’s sale in Las Vegas.

Collector Nick Fiorella bought the sneakers. They were worn by

Jordan during his first season with the Chicago Bulls in 1984.
