TRUDEAU HOLDS ON AS PM IN CANADA SNAP ELECTION

JUSTIN TRUDEAU thanked supporters for ensuring “brighter days ahead” as the prime minister clung to power in Canada’s snap election.

He said people had voted to “send Canada through the pandemic” after his main rival conceded defeat. However, his Liberals look to be 14 seats short of the 170 needed for a majority.
