Fergie’s virtue is not modesty
THE London Review of Books has turned its critical eye to two royal works, the Duchess of Sussex’s children’s book and the Duchess of York’s new novel. Of the latter, reviewer Andrew O’Hagan opines: “To write a book for money is a forgivable exercise… but the chief horror of her book is the way she wishes, at every turn, to make this banal roman à clef an advertisement for her secret virtue.” Don’t expect an invite to well-heeled London literary dinner parties any time soon.
