MPs SOUND ALARM AT PRIVATE SCHOOL SEX COMPLAINTS

MPs have expressed alarm that eight times more private schools have been named on the Everyone’s Invited website than state schools.

Analysis of the website, which contains anonymous testimonials of sexual harassment in schools, was carried out by Schools Week magazine. Labour MP Ian Mearns said the findings were “a matter of concern from the independent sector perspective”. Vanessa Ward, head of the Independent Schools Inspectorate, said: “We have to really focus on the fact it is clearly happening everywhere.”
