BURBERRY BOUNCE SALES START TO RECOVER
BURBERRY today showed how the Covid-19 crisis dented full-year sales, but it pointed to a rebound towards the end of the period.
The luxury fashion firm, led by Marco Gobbetti, said revenue in the year to March 27 fell 10% to £2.3 billion. It has had to shut shops at various points for lockdowns.
But the company said recovery accelerated through the year, leading to comparable store sales increasing 32% year-on-year in the final quarter.
