RICKY GERVAIS was spotted filming scenes for the third season of his acclaimed Netflix series After Life, with co-stars Diane Morgan and Joe Wilkinson also on set.

The comedian and actor, 59, was seen in Gadebridge Park, Hemel Hempstead, where a country fair-style set has been erected.

He filmed scenes yesterday, with Wilkinson — who plays the hapless postman in the show — put in some stocks. Locals said Gervais was friendly and happy to chat while taking selfies with fans. One said: “I was walking my puppy around having a bit of a nose around and he came out and said hello and asked about my dog. He said he was filming for three days. He seemed relaxed and was having lots of fun with the crew.”

After Life — about a man who starts acting without any care about how he’s perceived following the death of his wife — was last year said to be the most watched British TV comedy in the world.
